If you are seeking admission for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry) at JSPM - TSSM's Pune you are required to have a Diploma in Engineering and Technology in a relevant field with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent. Or, you are required to have a B.Sc. Degree with a minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognised university/college. You must also have a valid score in class 12 with mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognised board.

Yes, you can take admission directly in the second year of the B.Tech programme at Bharati Vidyapeeths College of Engineering, IPU. The interested candidates have to clear the ET-DIP exam conducted by the institute for lateral entry. The shortlisted students then have to appear for counselling for seat allotment. There are lots of options to get admission in college like:
1:mhtcet or JEE and 12th-the first criteria is to complete 12 with pcm group and then go for admission which is centralized.
2. Complete Diploma:if you have done Diploma then also you can get the admission in the college. For Diploma seats are very less compare to 12 th students.
