With your Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), you will be eligible for admission to the B.E. Programme in Computer Science and Engineering at SIT Tumkur. The admission criteria require that the candidate have a Diploma in CSE with an aggregate score of 45 percent. Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur, has an intake of 180 students in its CSE branch. Around 25% of total seats are reserved for management quota, and the remaining seats are filled on the basis of qualifying exams like COMEDK or KCET. Around 20 to 25 percent of vacant seats are filled on a lateral entry basis.

There are mainly 15 seats for lateral entry in every branch. So, if you really want admission to VJTI your Maharashtra rank should be in the top 20. The exact cutoff is difficult to tell because it depends on various factors, like the result of the diploma that year, the no students, and many more. But last year's cutoff for the OBC category is as follows:
1. CIVIL-92.40
2. COMPUTER-94.35
3. IT-93.13
4. ELECTRICAL-93.31
5. ELECTRONICS AND TC-94.13
6. ELECTRONICS-93.63
7. PRODUCTION-78.42
8. MECHANICAL-94.31
9. TEXTILE-77.63
I hope that this will help you
Thanks;)

Yes, lateral entry is possible for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, but only for Bachelor of Design (B. Des. ). And B.Tech. Courses. You can not get lateral entry in the Bachelor of Commerce B.Com course. The basic admission criteria is to have a 50% aggregate in the 12th grade. Also according to university rules, the admission shall be on the basis of the merits of the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Therefore, you may either wait for the next CET exam or apply to some other college for a B.Com course.
