Dear Student, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) includes dispute resolution processes and techniques that act as a means for disagreeing parties to come to an agreement as an alternative to court litigation and trial. Common alternatives include mediation, where a mediator helps people come to an agreement, or arbitration, where an arbitrator decides the outcome of the dispute. Many people prefer ADR because it can save people money, time, and aggravation, and can produce better results than trial. For example, as a mediator or arbitrator, I typically help resolve a case in one day, whereas when I was a trial attorney, a typical case took more than a year. There are different approaches that can be taken ranging from a transformative approach focused on helping the people to change their relationship so that it is less conflicted to evaluative mediation on the other extreme where the mediator provides suggestions for what they think should happen and advises about the potential orders a court might make if they cant sort it out themselves. In the middle is the facilitate approach where the mediator focuses on facilitating a fair process and empowering the people to make their own informed decisions for a resolution. LL. LLB: If you like to read alot, have good thinking process, good at learning, history and remembering things like dates, places go for it. B.Tech: If you are tech free, love to learn new technology, Science student then B.Tech is good. Choosing a course totally depends upon your interest and passion. If you are interest in trade, business, banking etc. Then you should o for B.Com. And if you are interested in law then you should go for LL.B. And if you are interested in technology then you should go for B.Tech. Dear Student, For legal aptitude you've three things. You're provided with principle/s and then there are facts. Then you've the options from which you need to choose. The first thing to keep in mind is that the principle is the ultimate. Don't ever try to apply the general knowledge you have about the law while solving your questions. If the principle says theft is not an offence then for the 0.30 seconds you take to solve the question you must abide by that. Dear Student, Not all institutes can offer a one year programme. UGC has set some criteria - such as : (From the UGC website) (I) Every university desirous of starting one year LL. M. programme under these Guidelines shall establish a Centre for Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) which will have a dedicated team of senior teachers competent to guide post-graduate scholars including Ph.D. students. (ii) Post-Graduate education in law is to be offered only after fulfilling the minimum requirements in terms of faculty, infrastructure etc. Prescribed under these Guidelines. (iii) Admission to one-year LL. M. Degree shall be done through an All India Admission Test conducted every year by the Universities individually or by a group of universities collectively. (iv) While reducing the duration to one year, universities must ensure that steps may be taken to make the course rigorous to maintain academic quality and standards. Towards this end, the programme is to be organized on a trimester basis ensuring at least twelve weeks of teaching/research/practical in each trimester. The switch from the two year to one year programme will involve syllabus changes, logistics changes etc. So it will take some time for all institutes to eventually move to a one year pattern. The two year pattern will still remain in niche areas, since it allows for a higher degree of specialisation and the institutes offering it will have a higher level of autonomy in terms of syllabus, admissions etc. Any one with a Bachelor degree in law can apply for LL. M, provided the applicant should meet the minimum marks criteria for the qualifying degree stipulated by the concerned university. The branches of law, wherein LL.
