CLAT ranking totally depends on CLAT exam and according to your performance in the same. Your 12th board result is only counted for the eligibility.

There are colleges who offer admission on the merit basis.
LLB is a 3-year long course and BA LLB course is 5-year course. Most colleges these days are preferring to offer BA LLB course to the candidates, which can be taken after completing 12th standard. It is mandatory to appear for the entrance exam for BA LLB course. The name of entrance exam is CLAT.
There is, however, no such requirement for LLB course. You can seek direct admission based on the merit. You will have to appear for an interview after which you will be given admission for LLB course.

CLAT 2017 Application Form can be filled from 1 January 2017 onwards. Form of CLAT 2017 is issued by the National Law University conducting Common Law Admission Test. Eligible candidates can apply for CLAT 2017 UG (for BA LLB programme) or PG (for LLM programme). The process of CLAT application form submission involves filling important details, uploading documents and paying application fee.

Fill the form and deposit the application fee last date of form filling is 31th march.
