It is a common phenomenon these days to see students taking a drop year after 12th. If you have really interest in Law then go for it but if you are not able to decide then better to join central universities. The reasons for taking drop  vary from person to person. The CLAT exam generally doesn't have a fixed passing mark and uses a rank-based selection system. Admissions are offered to those who secure ranks within the cut-off range for their category. However, the cut off for SC/ ST category candidates is typically lower than that the cut off marks for the General category candidates.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the exam date of CLAT 2025. The Consortium will conduct CLAT 2025 Exam on December 1, 2024. CLAT Consortium made few changes in CLAT 2024 exam pattern. Hence, the consortium has not brought any changes in exam pattern of CLAT 2025. As per the CLAT Exam pattern, there will be 120 questions for CLAT UG question paper. This means, 30 questions will be reduced from CLAT UG 2025 question paper. Earlier, there were 150 questions in CLAT UG question paper.
