A number of procedures are included in the allotment of seats for the LLB programme. After the attempt of MH CET, the result for the same is declared, and the counselling procedure begins. Candidates must apply for online registration and fill in the choice of colleges they are interested in while they are counseled. The seat allotment is strictly merit-based, wherein allotment of seats is done based on the ranks obtained in MH CET along with the order of preference exercised by the students. After seat allotment, candidates must undergo a physical verification of documents and settle the stipulated fees for taking admission.

The GLC Mumbai LLB cut-off has experienced enormous variations over the last few years. In 2021, the cut-off rank for the LLB course was 116. It went further up to 123 in 2022, meaning the level of competition was indeed on a rising trend. However, in 2023, the cut-off again dropped to 119. This sort of fluctuation indicates that though the interest in the programme is high, the relative performance of applicants might vary with time. From the above data, there is an underlying trend in the admissions at GLC Mumbai, which is shaped by various factors, such as applicants and the level of difficulty in the exam.

The latest year's cutoff of GLC Mumbai LLB has not been released yet. GLC Mumbai LLB closing rank of 2023 for General All India Category is 119. The rank is basically the minimum marks that candidates have to obtain in order to qualify for the final round of counselling. According to the trend, the cutoff has marginally increased. No, it is not possible to enter the LLB programme offered by GLC Mumbai unless one takes the MHCET Law exam. As a matter of fact, admission to the three-year LLB course conducted at the GLC in Mumbai strictly depends on the score of MHCET law. To get admission in LLB, candidates are eligible only if they obtain an aggregate of at least 50% in Class 12 from a recognised board. The score of MHCET Law is mandatory for admission to the LLB course. The direct application for LLB is not available at GLC Mumbai until and unless a candidate clears the MHCET Law exam.

The applicant applying to the Government Law College, Mumbai, must have passed the Class 12 examination from any recognised board with at least an aggregate score of 50%. Apart from that, the applicant needs to qualify in the entrance test, MHCET for Law, in order to get admitted. There is no age limit mentioned for the applicants. Candidates, after appearing for the entrance exam of MHCET, have to proceed with the counselling, wherein they are screened as per their merits. Once the documents are verified and the admission fee is paid, they are allotted seats in the college.
