Hello, There is no age limit criteria to apply for the UGC NET Exam. Any one at any age can appear in the UGC NET Exam. To apply for the JRF Scholarship you need to be not more than 30 years of age. (35 years for the female and Reserved candidates). The UGC NET Exam is mainly conducted for the candidates from all age limit. Firstly, start reading newspapers and some English songs with lyrics songs will help to improve your pronunciation and reading newspaper will help you to learn new words and found there meanings and most importantly make your grammar part stronger as much as you can and also purchase some good guides to learn more I hope this will help to achieve it. NSOU should be accepted but you have to contact the universities abroad where you plan to apply and get it confirmed. They may require some additional verification as per their education framework. 66% is considered but also again depend on how competitive the universities. Top ranking will be difficult to get into. Scholarships are also given on merit, you can check the information on scholarships in the university websites itself. You must also take IELTS or TOEFL and/or other exams if necessary and required by the university.

Normally, you will not get admission if you change your stream of study. What you can do is to take a Diploma programme in English literature and after completing this, you can do Masters.
