Merit-based scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to students who have scored well in their entrance exams and/or 12th board exams. Need-based scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to students who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The cutt off trend is around 110 -120 but in most of the cases 100+ for general.
