You can also go for B.Com LLB, it's a new course started in various universities. It is also a good option and has a wide scope in future.

In CLAT, there are two types of courses. First one is 5-year BA LLB also known as UG in law. This is generally done after you pass out class 12th and the second one is 1-2 year based LLM also known as Post Graduate (PG) in law. This we do to get the master degree in law after when we are done with graduation (BA LLB or LLB). Also, there is a 3rd type, of course, this is just LLB, it is a 3-year course. This course we do when we have at least a graduation degree with us. BA LLB and LLB have almost the same value. Only the difference is that BA LLB is done after class 12th and the other one, LLB is done after the graduation.

All students must already have completed a three-year Bachelor's degree before taking the course. Master of Law (LLM) is a postgraduate degree which can be done after completing LLB or Juris Doctor.

For BBA LLB, you'll have to take at least 28 papers in law. For a BBA LLB (Hons), you'll have to take at least 36 papers in law. Your honours can be in any particular subject (like Criminal Law, IP Law, Constitutional Law, etc.) or simply honours in Law (by studying eight papers from not one group but multiple groups). No, there is no such provision that allows the student to study LLM degree in evening class session. Currently, no batch for LLM is going on.

To become a member of bar council of India, you need to clear National Bar exam or the bar exam for respective state you want to become member of. However, only LLB degree holders are eligible for sitting in bar exams. Unfortunately you cannot do LLB from open university as there is no provision for it. LLB is a full time course and can be done only from an accredited university recognised by University Grants Commission. You can do Diploma courses in law but you would still not be eligible for the bar exam.
