For LLM admission offered at NLUs in India, candidates have to appear for the CLAT exam and meet the cut-off marks criteria for admission to 22 NLUs in India. However, for admission to NLU Delhi, candidates have to appear and qualify AILET exam. Therefore, candidates need to score top ranks in CLAT PG in the range of 1-1000 to get admission in the top NLUs. LLM through CLAT PG is highly competitive, keeping in view the increasing number of candidates appearing for the exam and difficulty of the paper.

No, as per the eligibility criteria of an LLM degree (BCI regulations for legal education in India), candidates should hold either a five-year integrated LLB degree or a three-year LLB degree from a recognised law college or university. Therefore as prescribed by BCI guidelines, three-year or five-year LLB is essential for pursuing LLM.

Many law colleges in India offer LLM courses duration, as one-year or two-year courses. However, generally, the law degree is offered as a two-year duration. But soon, according to the recent deliberations of BCI, the one-year LLM shall be scrapped and two-year LLM shall be restored. It shall consist of four-semesters wherein candidates shall be required to submit dissertation in the end of the final semester.

The main requirement for an LLM course is a completed LLB degree with a minimum qualifying score (50 percentage or equivalent CGPA). Some universities may have additional requirements like entrance exams or work experience.

You must have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. Lucknow University conducts its own entrance exam for admission to the LLM program. The exact name of the exam might vary slightly year-on-year.Your performance in the LU-LLM ET will be a major factor in the selection process.A merit list will be prepared based on the entrance exam score, considering factors like reservation policies and regional quotas.
