Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology is both merit and entrance-based. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. Admission to UG and PG courses such as BTech and MCA will be based on national-level entrance exams like CUET UG, CUET PG and JEE Main followed by a counselling round. Whereas, direct admission is offered to BCA aspirants.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology provides admission to MCA course based on CUET UG score. 85% seats of total approved intake will be filled through UPCET Counselling and remaining 15% seats of approved intake will be filled under Management Quota. For direct admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Aspirants must also pass Mathematics at Class 12 or graduation level for MCA admission.

Admission to BTech course at Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology is based on JEE Main/ CUET UG scores, followed by UPTAC Counselling. The institute also provides direct admission to the BTech course. For direct admission, aspirants must register and appear for the test/ interview conducted by the institute. If qualified, aspirants have to report to the college on the date given by the college authorities with the academic documents, passport-size photo and Aadhaar Card.
