So, you may not be eligible, however, there are a few exceptions, there is a 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), (Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University). So, If you have 40% then the only chance to get through is to have an exceptionally high caliber in sports, which will be ascertained by the selection committee. Below 40% it is not at all possible.

You can take admission as per the eligibility on the LPU website. The Eligibility for B.Tech is 60% in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST. Being a student of LPU and that too media student. Yes, I am pursuing a Bachelor's in journalism and mass communication from LPU itself. And in my opinion, LPU is worth it for these courses. You'll get the best exposure and facilities for this course. I got the best faculty members to learn from they were all from a repeated organisation like TOI, India today, etc. Plus you'll also get placements training and classes to sit for placements. You'll also get to learn different skills. Plus workshops guest lectures, seminars, and more things. In my opinion, LPU is right because of the facilities and exposures provided by the university. Furthermore, there is no entrance exam for admission to this programme after the 12th class. You should have only passed with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent). But if you want to get the scholarship facilities you can give LPU NEST exam for scholarship. You never know you may get the best results in it and get the scholarship.
