At LPU it is a two year Nutrition and Dietetics post graduate degree programme produces professionals in the field of nutrition and dietetics who are recognised for their practical and public health skills in order to improve the health and lifestyle of the society as a whole. The eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelors of Science Degree (Home Science or Medical or Non-Medical or Biosciences or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Technology or Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology or Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or Clinical Chemistry or Public Health and Allied Sciences) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST.

In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPU NEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech. , MBA, Hons, B.Pharma MLT etc. For some courses like B.A. B. Comm, BBA etc. LPU NEST is not mandatory. LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a national-level entrance test conducted by LPU and is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, it totally depends on the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to take admission to. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPU NEST provides an opportunity to applicants who could not perform well in the qualifying examination owing to various personal, academic or procedure-specific reasons and is therefore not able to derive the benefit of the scholarship scheme of the university. Scholarships can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. through LPU NEST score, and various other schemes.
