General eligibility for M.A. Economics is as below:
B.A. (Hons) in Economics subject
A minimum aggregate score of 50% at the level of graduation. The eligibility criteria may differ from college to college where for some universities, admission procedure is entrance exam. For some it is Merit based. As in, Delhi University eligibility for merit-based admissions is aggregate 50% in B.A. (Hons) Economics done from DU only.

Majority of college/universities ask for maths at 10+2 level for admission in M.A. In economics. Some of the private colleges like Galgotias consider admission if you have studied economics in 12th.

Admission doesn't require class 12th with maths, class 12th arts student can also go for the same. But, economics subject requires some basic Maths. All the best.

As such there is no bar for doing any degree based on gender. Only the difference is that is the university is specifically concerned for women then you cannot pursue any degree. You can check any other university for any degree if you want.
