Yes you can, but only in certain universities that don't have a standard criteria for specific honours in BA.
For example; Ambedkar University is one such university that doesn't hold criteria for M.A. You are applicable to enter for the subject of your choice.

Firstly, start from the basic, do research about the syllabus which is asked in the exam and exam pattern. Then looks for all the reference which you can get about the syllabus and start your studies, if you have done BA in Politics then it will be the advantage for you because you don't have to worry about much, and do study the previous year question papers time to time and start sitting with the time bondage while solving the previous year papers, that will help you to solve papers in finals with best results. the main difference between that the politics subject is the hardcore in M.A in Politics and International relation and in M.A. in relation the more focus is on maintaining the relation with the different publics
