A total of 16 subjects is present and these are divided into two parts, i.e., part A and part B. For both of the course part the written examination and assingnment score is 640 & 160, resepectively.

2 courses are offered by the institute. They are MA in International Studies and MA in African Studies (Geo-economics and Foreign Policy). The fee for both the courses is INR 6.1 lacs. It is only the tuition fees for 2 years. All the other types of fees like Examination fees, Hostel and Mess fees, Alumni fees, Application form fees and others have to be paid in addition to the tuition fees. Fees is subject to change every year. It may change. For all the postgraduate programmes offered by Nalanda Open University, the admissions are merit-based. For some of the postgraduate programmes the NOU admissions are entrance-based.
