Admission to the MA course is offered based on the aspirant’s performance in the last qualifying examinations. Hence, the applicant’s aggregate in the bachelor’s or UG course is taken into consideration. Students can pursue MA in only one specialisation, i.e., Political Science. During this course, students will build a deep understanding around topics like Political Science viz, international relations, geopolitics, public policy, social justice etc. 

 NOU Patna offers a two-year PG course of MA across 15 specialisations, which are taught through five different schools at the university. These specialisations are Economics, Education, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Maithili, Public Administration, Urdu, etc. Apart from this, the university also offers MA in Bhojpuri and English, but these specialisations are currently suspended by the university till any further update.
