M.Arch Scope

Graduates of the M.Arch programme after the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), can find a wide range of opportunities, both in and beyond the sectors of architecture and planning.M.Arch students can take up a job at design firms, construction companies, real estate developers, and agencies engaged in urban planning. They can get employed as architectural designer, working with architectural firms in designing residential, commercial, and public spaces; urban planner, planning and designing all aspects pertaining to the growth and development of urban areas: infrastructure, green areas, and residential zones; sustainability consultant concerns energy efficiency in building designs and their eco-friendly layouts while introducing the sustainable architecture practices of green buildings; project manager who manages construction projects by handling time schedules with budgets and ensuring quality standards; building information modeling (BIM) specialist who applies BIM tools for the design and management processes.Besides, they could also work as freelance consultants, start their own architectural practice, or work with the government on projects, especially and primarily related to urban development and public infrastructure.
