As per UGC guidelines, the subject in Ph.D. can only be the major subject in your post graduation. And M.Com doesn't have Astrophysics in its course curriculum at all, let alone the major subject. I hope I am clear. DVD.

If you pick finance then the scope will be in BFSI sector on the other hand if you take HR as major then you can go into the admin and recruitment types of job. So, basically it depends on which track you want to SEE yourself after 2 years of course. All the best.

One of the main differences between MBA Finance and M.Com is the fees of the course. MBA is very costly when compared to M.Com. Whereas, M.Com is a much more narrowed degree that permits students to specialize in a number of majors such as Finance, Marketing, and International Business etc.

You can be eligible for the Lecturer job after completing M.Com. So, you can apply for the NET exam. NET-National Eligibility Test. NET exam conducted by the UGC (University Grants Commission) two times in a year.
