Those who want to study MD course from SOA University must be graduated with MBBS degree/provisional pass certificate recognised as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Further, the aspiring candidates should also possess a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council.

Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE).

For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD.
