Doctor of Medicine in Alternative Medicines { MD (A.M.) } is a 1 year post-graduate course conducted by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, duly Registered by the Government of West Bengal under Act XXVI based on the Central Government Act XXI of 1860.
Eligibility / Pre-Requisite:
Those persons who have passed any degree course from an authentic institution.
Or
Those persons who have completed the MBBS, BDS, DMS, DHMS, BHMS, BAMS, BASM, BEMS, BIAMS, BNYT, BATS, BUMS, BPT, B.Pharma, NO, MD (AM) etc.
*For practitioners and research workers who are practicing for the last 10 years, the minimum basic qualification is exempted.

Hello, This is an unrecognised course. Should not be taken. Edit - 31 Dec 2023 IBAM is not approved institution. And Courts have declared it illegal and fake degree.

The salary of MBBS doctors without going for post graduation varies from 50000-4lacs or even higher. Corporate hospitals pay even higher.

Depends on what subject or stream you want to do. All MCI approved postgraduates require you to clean NEET PG and for that your B.Pharma makes you ineligible. You may go alternatively for MD in Alternative Medicine conducted and approved by IBAM.

MBBS is for the Allopathic Western medicine. it does not have something called "Alternative medicine" at least in India.
