You can pursue a MDes in Interior Design after completing your bachelor's degree in History, however, many top Design colleges in India require a bachelor's degree in a related field. Since, History is not relevant to Interior Design, you may need to bridge the gap with some certification or Diploma courses before opting for an  MDes in Interior Design. Meanwhile, some colleges may also need you to show your work portfolio to offer admission to the program. It is important to thoroughly research about the eligibility criteria of the college you're seeking admission.

Admission is usually based on a bachelor's degree with minimum percentage in the case of most colleges, close to 50%, and would include qualifying exams like the DAT or CEED Common Entrance Examination for Design). Some institutions also hold interviews for the evaluation of your potential for the program. Please check with the specific institutions you are interested in as some requirements vary considerably.
