Although it may be difficult, entrance to the M.Des programme at NID Gandhinagar is not certain for those who score in the 75 percentile on the NID Entrance Exam. The annual cutoffs are determined by the competition and overall exam performance. Reviewing the most recent cutoff trends is crucial because admission prospects are often higher for those with higher percentiles.

A bachelor's degree is normally required for admission to NID Gandhinagar's M.Des programme rather than Class 12 grades. Nonetheless, having a solid academic foundation from Class 12 can be advantageous. A 60% in Class 12 is usually acceptable for undergraduate design programs, but for M.Des programs, the emphasis is placed on the undergraduate degree and entrance exam achievement.
