Yes, candidates seeking admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram M.Des course need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. To be eligible for IIIT Kancheepuram M.Des admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Design/ Architecture (under 10+2+4 years regular) with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the admission hanbooks for the B.Des and M.Des courses. It contains the list of exam cities for DAT Prelims exam for each course.As per information given in the M.Des Admission Handbook, the DAT Prelims exam in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada.The candidate can select their choice of exam city when filling out the NID DAT 2024 application form. 

The National Institite of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam for both the B.Des and M.Des programs on December 24, 2024. The admit cards for the two programs will also be released on the same date, i.e. December 12, 2023.To download the admit card, the candidate needs to go to the NID admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. On the portal, the M.Des DAT Prelims admit card download link will be given.Click on the link, and then log in using your email id and date of birth. On successful login, you can download the admit card.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bangalore offers a Master of Design (M.Des) program. Admissions to the M.Des program at NIFT Bangalore are based on candidates’ performance in the NIFT entrance exam. This exam comprises the General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), Situation Test or Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. The last closing rank for admission in MDes in the year 2021 was 58 and in the year 2022 was 74.

The eligibility criteria for the MDes course at UID Ahmedabad is that the candidate should have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Moreover, the duration of the course is for four years. The entrance exam accepted includes the UID Design Aptitude Test.

The National Institute of Design (NID) released admit cards for M.Des DAT Mains exam on February 22, 2024 (4 pm). The admit card has been released online at admissions.nid.edu.To download the admit card, enter your email ID and date of birth in the log-in window.The M.Des DAT Mains exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted from March 4 to April 4, 2024. The admit card will contain details like the date and time of the NID DAT 2024 exam, exam centre details, roll number, reporing time, and exam-day guidelines.

If the candidate had any objections against the DAT Prelims results, they could ask for a recheck.The NID DAT 2024 (Prelims) recheck for the M.Des programme covered the following items:Whether all answers have been markedWhether there has been any mistakes in totalling the marks in Part II and transferring the marks to the 1st cover page of the answer booklet.The rechecking didn't evaluate any other part of the answer booklet. Also, the candidate is not allowed to claim re-evaluation, disclosure, or inspection of the answer scripts.

Diploma candidates need to meet the following conditions for admission:Done full-time Diploma of 4-year duration after 10+2Diploma in the following subjects is accepted - Design/ Fine Arts/ Applied Arts/ Architecture.The Diploma must be done from a university or institute recognised by law in India.Additionally, the candidate must have appeared in all the subjects and backlogs (if any) by June 30, 2024. 

Candidates willing to take admission to the MDes programme must apply through the INSD Kolkata’s official website. INSD Kolkata inducts candidates for the MDes programme based on the candidate’s marks in graduation. Selected candidates are required to report to the admission cell at INSD Kolkata for document verification and fee payment.
