NIFT Hyderabad has only Masters of Fashion Management (M.F.M.) course with 68 students intake. So NIFT Hyderabad does not have M.Des courses.

M.Des is masters of fashion designing, for which you need to appear for CAT ,GAT and having 50% in any degree is the eligibility, M.FTech is Masters in fashion technology for which you need to appear for GAT and you need to have 50% in a degree of a AICTE approved college is the eligibility.

A student can apply for the programme for M.Des in Fashion, interior, product design, and more, Students coming from any 10+2 or graduation discipline from a recognised university, or board with a minimum aggregate of 50%, can appear for any entrance or admission process or any design course. You can also have a look at IILM University, Gurugram. You can appear for IILM University Gurugram's Design Aptitude Test with the Interview Process for applying. Hello Nishthan, You can do M.Des after completion of B.Tech. Even I wnat to do the same. There are no prerequisites but depending on Your branch u need to choose the design specialisation. Here's the list according to my knowledge. CSE: UI / UX design. Mech/Industrial: Transportation / Product / Industrial design. Civil: Interior design. This list is not any compulsion, I just made it coz they are related subjects. Students from any other branches can also choose these specializations but they won't have the understanding of the basics.

Hello Vicky, Yes you can definitely think of doing your master in design, but the basic eligibility is graduation. What you have stated is that you have passed Diploma. Hence first you will need to complete your graduation in engineering based on your Diploma and then think of doing post graduation in this course. Best wishes to you.
