There are about 25+ best MEd colleges in West Bengal. Of these,  15 colleges are privately owned, 9 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and public-private entities own 2 colleges. Calcutta University Entrance Exam is the only entrance exam accepted by top MEd (Master of Education) colleges in West Bengal. Some of the popular colleges include NSOU - Netaji Subhas Open University, Calcutta University. University of Kalyani, Burdwan University, Visva Bharati University, Amity University, Kolkata, Ramakrishna Mission Siksha Mandir, David Hare Training College,  and many others.

As for the M. Ed classes, they are expected to commence soon at Central University but the exact the has not been announced yet.Thus, for the exact date of commencement of M.
