Admission to this programme is open to those who qualify in MET/GATE/UGC-JRF/UGC- Lecturership examinations. A Masters in Arts / Commerce (with 55% marks), or M.Sc/ B.Tech (with 60% marks with adequate background in the Social Sciences) is essential.

Candidates must possess two years Master's degree (minimum 55% aggregate) or M.Phil (minimum 50% aggregate) from any accredited Indian or foreign university in the relevant field with the required aggregate. However, in case of the Master's degree in the discipline of engineering and technology), an overall 60% aggregate is required at all academic levels.

Selection: An all India Entrance Test will be conducted for selecting candidates for admission to the M.Phil. Degree. M.Phil. Thesis: Examinees will submit the M.Phil. Thesis before appearing in the university examination conducted in the university campus. Award: Master of Philosophy (M.Phil. ) Degree with specialisation in the relevant subject shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by the University.

Eligibility criteria:
A minimum of five years of post graduation work experience is required for Ph.D. programmes. In case of the M.Phil. Programme, there is no requirement of work experience. However, candidates with one to two years of work experience, will be preferred.
