No, you are not bound to do the M.Phil after qualifying the UGC NET. UGC is the exam which is conducted to examine the Post-graduated candidates who wants to become an Assistant professor or a researcher.

Hi,
As you have already done MS in Bhav Sangeet, so you can go for either M.Phil or Ph.Ed from IGNOU University. IGNOU is best in the country for correspondence courses. Best of luck.

M.Phil ELIGIBILITY
Candidate must have passed the PG or equivalent examination from a recognised state/private/deemed or central University with at least 55% (45% to 50% for reserved category candidates) of the marks. No, you can't do M.Phil after graduation. Thanks!
