Admission to this programme is open to those who qualify in MET/GATE/UGC-JRF/UGC- Lecturership examinations. A Masters in Arts / Commerce (with 55% marks), or M.Sc/ B.Tech (with 60% marks with adequate background in the Social Sciences) is essential.

Candidates must possess two years Master's degree (minimum 55% aggregate) or M.Phil (minimum 50% aggregate) from any accredited Indian or foreign university in the relevant field with the required aggregate.
