Both are good, if you have less then 60% then go for MS, otherwise, go for M.Tech. You must qualify GATE, otherwise, both are worthless.

Lambton is a public polytechnic. Polytechnics do not offer degrees like MS, you can pursue them from universities usually. So Lambton does not offer MS. Please check the source of your information for correction.

Hi Aashish, GRE scores are valid for five years not three years. You can apply during the final semester instead of final year but this won't be fruitful as your application won't be evaluated till you have the final grades. You can apply on the basis of predicted scores but you will still need the final scores for them to formally accept you. Before investing time and energy on the applications email the universities and confirm from them, every university has different requirements.

Biotechnology engineering has a good scope of taking you to abroad for doing MS or research oriented but do it at good IITs or NITs and this will obviously help you out a lot.
