While it is not mandatory, including extracurricular activities can improve your SOP and reveal more about your hobbies, leadership abilities, and character traits. Emphasize your involvement in the community, athletics, clubs, volunteer work, and other endeavours that show your character and well-roundedness. You can make your SOP more interesting and memorable for the Ad Com by talking about how these activities have shaped your personal development and equipped you for the demands of graduate school.

Emphasize your own experiences, abilities, and goals in order to personalize your SOP for MS courses. Discuss the particular incidents, obstacles you overcame, or life events that influenced your academic and career path. Make your SOP specific to each university by learning about their faculty, resources, and programme offers, then describing how these fit together with your objectives and passions. Ad Coms can be drawn in by an exceptional SOP that highlights your uniqueness and shows that you are genuinely excited about the program.

Absolutely, you can discuss difficulties or setbacks in your academic journey and show that you are resilient and determined. But, instead of focusing on the difficulties themselves, it is important to highlight how you overcame them and the lessons you learnt. This will make your SOP more compelling and show the Ad Com that you are ready for the program.
