Hello Jay, I am confused! Okay. If your aim is to make a career in Astronomy then doing engineering is no use. You should do B.Sc. And then M.Sc. In physics. Eligibility for M.Sc in Astronomy
The minimum eligibility required to be met for admission to the course is B.Sc or an equivalent degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. A few universities and colleges in India conduct entrance examinations for admission to the course.

Admission is based on the rank/score/ marks obtained in IIT-JAM and the registration form end date for IIT-JAm is 17th April 2018. Here, total 12 seats are available 6 for general/OBC, 3 for SC/ST.

Yes. you can do M.Sc in Astrophysics after B.Sc in physics. The eligibility is graduation completed with science from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
Some colleges or universities do conduct some entrance exams for admission.
