Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET exam. As you have done M.Sc in biotechnology, you can appear for CSIR NET Chemical Sciences or Life Sciences. If you want to go for JRF exam, then make sure that your age is not more than 28 years and you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks. Or if you want to apply for the position of an assistant professor, you can apply anytime as there is no upper age limit. But you have to fulfil the educational requirement.

If we talk about M.Sc. Agriculture, first, you need to check if the university is accepting Biotech or not. Then talking about career with M.Sc. Agriculture and Ph.D., later on, you have a bright career in government and private universities as well as companies. But with Just M.Sc., you will get mostly sales profile jobs. For M.Sc. biotech, if you take admission in top universities like Lovely Professional University Punjab and Amity University Noida, then your placement prospects are good, otherwise, in the private sector, it will be difficult.
