Hello Shubhra,
Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET exam. As you have done M.Sc in biotechnology, you can appear for CSIR NET Chemical Sciences or Life Sciences. If you want to go for JRF exam, then make sure that your age is not more than 28 years and you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks. Or if you want to apply for the position of an assistant professor, you can apply anytime as there is no upper age limit. But you have to fulfil the educational requirement.

After B.Sc Biotech, M.Sc in Agri is good because many private companies give you jobs in sales and marketing. Also, if you work in the government sector, you can get the job but you need to prepare for the same.
Some of the top universities for M.Sc Agri are PAU, Ludhiana, Lovely Professional University Punjab, Govind Ballabh Pant University, Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

Hi,
If we talk about M.Sc. Agriculture, first, you need to check if the university is accepting Biotech or not. Then talking about career with M.Sc. Agriculture and Ph.D., later on, you have a bright career in government and private universities as well as companies. But with Just M.Sc., you will get mostly sales profile jobs. For M.Sc. biotech, if you take admission in top universities like Lovely Professional University Punjab and Amity University Noida, then your placement prospects are good, otherwise, in the private sector, it will be difficult.

Total seats for M.Sc Biotechnology in MBT are 60 so getting a merit no. under 100 is the best chance to get a confirmed seat.
The cut-off rank is under 100.
If you have a rank higher than this then you have very less chances of getting a seat for M.Sc.

There are opportunities in R&D as well as other corporate jobs like patent and market analysis.
1. R&D: There are some entry-level jobs for freshers in Biotech firms. Job responsibilities may vary from QC (Quality Checking), sales (as this requires basic technical understanding also), data analysis, technical support etc. As graduates are not that sound in technical skills, they are not involved in hard-core research. Salaries and perks are obviously not that great at this level. To be honest, such jobs are good only if you wish to pursue higher studies in future (Masters and/or Ph.D. sometime soon. For the time being, you can get in a
