Hello,
That's a great move. SASTRA leads other private engineering colleges when it comes to biotechnology. It has great labs, state of the art infrastructure and excellent staffs.
Other colleges are Sri Ramchandra Medical College, Loyola College (in Chennai).

So far the placements have been pretty bleak. But with proper guidance from your staffs you'll be job ready and will also get to know people from the industry thereby making it easier for you to get placed. Companies include various laboratories.

MBA in biotechnology has less scope. If you want to continue education in biotechnology field then it would be better to go with M.Sc biotechnology. M.Sc biotechnology has more scope in terms of research.
