Please check for your eligibility to apply for M.Sc. in Forensic Science from Maharshi Dayanand University at the link provided below:
Minimum Eligibility to Apply is a pass mark of 50% in graduation and Candidate must have completed B.Sc. (Forensic Science)/ B.Sc. (Pass) with any of the two subjects, viz. Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology or BDS from a recognized University. Admission is through counseling based on the marks obtained in Entrance Test conducted by the Maharshi Dayanand University.

You are eligible to do M.Sc. in food and nutrition, as the only requirement is that the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in Home Science, Biology, Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Life Sciences, BNYS (Naturopathy), B.A. M. S. (Ayurveda) or PG Diploma in Dietetics with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Yes, you are eligible and it is indeed a good choice. More than food technology, try for food biotechnology in PG.
Food biotechnology will channelise your interest for research.
There are many central universities offering such courses, Tezpur University is one of them.
