M.Sc Eligibility

To get admission to MSc course at TMI, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute. Aspirants must graduate with minimum 60% aggregate in BTech Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Nautical Technology/ Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering. Else, candidates having a three-year Diploma as Deck/ Engine Room Officer or BSc in Nautical Science with a minimum of 60% average with Class I Certificate of Competency as Master/ Chief Engineer may also apply for this course. To study at an international university, they must qualify the English language in IELTs with a score of 6.5 (no element below 5.5) or equivalent.

Candidates who qualified in the Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks are considered as eligible for the CUET exam based on the CUET eligibility criteria 2024. To be eligible for MSc at South Asian University Delhi, applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of education under the 10+2+3 pattern (i.e., 12 years of schooling + a 3 year degree) or a 4-year degree after 10+2 (12 years of schooling). For admission to MSc in Biotechnology, applicants must have 12 years of schooling + a 3 year Bachelor's degree in any area of Biological Sciences / Chemistry / Agriculture and allied sciences; Veterinary and allied sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemical Technology from an institution recognised by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. For admission to MSc in Computer Science, applicants must have 12 years of schooling + a 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant area* with mathematics as a subject either at the Bachelor’s level or at the 10+2 (12th class) level from an institution recognised by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade. For admission to MSc in Economics, Sociology, International Relations and Legal Studies, the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria is 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying degree.
