 In order to apply for an MSc course, aspirants shall have a valid BSc degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 55% aggregate or CGPA of 6 (50% aggregate or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST). The relevant documents also have to be presented for verification.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate is the basic eligibility for MSc offered at IIT Varanasi. Candidates with a minimum of aggregate are eligible for the course.
