M.Sc Forestry

The MSc Forestry programme at NEHU Tura seeks to train and produce highly skilled forestry experts who will manage the country's forests scientifically. The emphasis is on research and extension in the scientific utilization of various forest resources, their protection and that of wildlife and encouraging integrated development of these resources.   Such major subjects include:   - Ecosystem Analysis (4 credits) - Silviculture and Forest Management (5 credits) - Forest Ecology and Biodiversity (4 credits) - Forest Economics and Policy (3 credits) - Research Methodology and Statistics (4 credits) - Dissertation/Project Work (12 credits)   Duration of the course shall be:   – 2 years (4 semesters) Total credits - 80
