The major difference between them is, that MSc Statistics involves the comparison of various data, it teaches us topics like Distribution Theory, Time Series Analysis, Regression Analysis, etc. Meanwhile, MSc Mathematics involves the study of all forms of Mathematics including Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra, Matrix and Determinant, Calculus, etc.

The IIT Patna JAM Cutoff was released for Round 2. As per the Cutoff, the most competitive course was M.Sc in Mathematics for the General AI category candidates. The Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Mathematics was 532. If the IIT JAM Cutoff rank is more than 532, there is no scope for admission to IITs for M.Sc in Mathematics.

As per the IIT Ropar JAM Cutoff 2024 Round 2 Cutoff, the most competitive course was M.Sc in Mathematics. The Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Mathematics was 432, for the General AI Category candidates. If not eligible for IIT Ropar, candidates can opt for IIT Indore with a linient cutoff of 337 for M.Sc in Mathematics.

Hello,The CUET-PG cut-off for the University of Hyderabad has not been released yet. However, based on analysis Shiksha has estimated the expected cut-off for MSc in applied Mathematics.
