Both the industries pay you handsome salary. Actually the former is the equivalent of IT jobs in our industry. There is a lot of scope and if you dedicate yourself properly in a decade you will find yourself in a great position career wise and finance wise. Master's if you pursue even from the top colleges of the country, your compensation will not be as high as someone who has done his or her MBA from any top college of the country. This is not a gospel truth but this is most likely to happen in most of the cases. Now, with regards to work experience in MBA, believe me having and not having work experience have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Any kind of role in a food science or food technology setting would develop your skills and allow you to demonstrate your passion for working in the industry. You can tailor your work experience to the type of role you would like

After Chemistry, all the general career options are open, like banking/Civil Services/Teaching/government jobs, etc. But, as you are a chemistry student and want to make your career future in chemistry only, then the options are different, like you can apply for Industries (where demand of chemists is always high), you can qualify GATE with high rank and can get into PSUs like ONGC, BHEL, etc. and can earn a handsome salary. You can also go in field of scientific research by qualifying CSIR-NET exam and can pursue your career as a Scientist or Professor.
