Yes, in order to support students enrolled in the MD/MS programme, GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam, provides a monthly stipend. For the first year, students are offered INR 44,075 per month. From the second year, students get a monthly stipend of INR 46,524. Yes, students enrolled in the MS and MD courses offered by the GIMSR are required to submit a thesis. The topic of the thesis must revolve around their chosen specialisation. Moreover, this project work is to be successfully submitted at least six months before the theory and clinical/practical examination. A candidate shall only be allowed to appear for the theory and practical/clinical examination only after the acceptance of the thesis by the examiners.
