NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 75 for the full-time MSc course offered in three specialisations. The institute reserves 25 seats for each specialisation. In addition, the institute reserves 5% seats for PwD category candidates followed by norms of the Government of India.

Admission to the course is entrance-based. It is also crucial that applicants fulfil the eligibility criteria and have the relevant documents as proof for the same. Only the aspirants with a valid score of IIT JAM can apply for an MSc course at NIT Calicut. The selected candidates further need to take part in CCMN counselling for seat allotment. For IIT JAM, candidates can apply online.
