M.Sc. in Zoology program at S.S. Jain Subodh PG College, the eligibility criteria require candidates to have completed a B.Sc. with at least 55% marks from the University of Rajasthan or any other recognized university within Rajasthan. For applicants from universities outside Rajasthan, a minimum of 60% is required. Admission is based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.  The college releases merit lists for admissions, which include cutoff percentages. For the 2024-25 session, the third merit list for PG courses, including M.Sc. Zoology, was valid up to August 27, 2024.

If you have 55 percent, you are eligible to get admission to any central university in India, not only at University Shahpura. 55% is the minimum criteria for any Institute in India: IITs, IISC, or central university. This is for unreserved and category. If you belong to the SC and ST category, then minimum criteria is 50%.

Experts do advise the aspiring students to opt for a PG degree such as an MSc for zoology course as the candidates who complete their graduation are known to have more wider options available for future with high incomes as compared to graduate degree holders. PG degrees regardless of any course, open a gateway to new lucrative opportunities
