As per the eligibility for M.Tech, you must have done either Btech or (Bsc+Msc), then only you can apply for M.Tech program. Since you have done B.Sc in Biotechnology, you further need to pursue Msc in any specialisation of Biotechnology
Yes, you can do m.tech after b.sc in maths. sit for gate, score good and get admission to the college of your choice.

Placements depend on your interest. They give 100 percentage of placements but the salary and area of work do not match the requirements. So don't go on the paper record.

I would suggest you to ask this from IGNOU, as there are many courses which are now eliminated or in discussion from IGNOU, as they required practical knowledge set by the norms of the authority.

Some facts about TANCET Cut Off is mentioned below- Last year cutoff was comparatively low due to lack of clarity for TANCET among the candidates. Post declaration of TANCET Result, Anna University will publish merit list of shortlisted candidates for TANCET Counselling.
