Yes, you can shift your branch in engineering for M. Tech after doing B. Tech. This  is sometimes referred to as “branch switching”.In India, many universities and institutes allow students to pursue M. Tech in a different branch than their B. Admission to the M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Bangalore is based on GATE scores, generally with no fixed cut-off.  In 2023, offers were made to candidates with scores as low as 480. The cut-off for 2024 will depend on the applicant pool.
