M.Tech Eligibility

KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology offers two years of postgraduate-level M.Tech courses. KJ Somaiya Institute of Technology MTech is a two-year course offered only in Artificial Intelligence. The postgraduate-level course is spread across four semesters and offers advanced knowledge in AI. To secure admission to the M.Tech course candidates must have valid qualifications which are as follows:BTech in Computer Engineering / Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, with 50% aggregate (45% minimum in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).For sponsored candidates, a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/ company/industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.  

Yes, the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Guwahati recognises the need to support the underprivileged section of society. For this motive, the institute provides a relaxation in the eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to the reserved category.For general category students, the minimum eligibility criteria is set at 60% or 6.0 CGPA in a bachelor's degree. While for students belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category, the institute offers a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria. Thus, candidates who belong to the aforementioned categories are eligible if they have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in a bachelor's degree.
