For admission to a two-year MTech course at MIT Manipal, there is minimum eligibility criteria that is required to fulfil by every aspirant. Candidates who passed graduation in a relevant branch of B.E. or BTech with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised university are eligible to apply for this course. For admission to BTech at PSGCT, candidates must have passed in Class 12 from a recognized board with a minimum 45% aggregate. Admissions in the college are offered on the basis of a valid TNEA or (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) score followed by counselling.For MTech, selections are done on the basis of TANCET or GATE but the first preference is given to GATE score. The candidate must have a degree of BTech/BE in a relevant specialization from a recognized board for admission in a MTech programme.

The eligibility criteria for BITS HyderabadM.Techadmissions is that candidate should have passed Class 12 pass from a recognised board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and adequate proficiency in English. Additionally, students should have at least 75% overall aggregate in Class 12 and at least 60% aggregate in each of the subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JNTUK M.Tech admissions are based on GATE score followed by CCMT counselling or Andhra Pradesh PGECET score.
