The cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering + M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar for students other than General category are - 4374 for OBC, 2306 for SC, 1025 for ST, 1756 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category candidates under All India, opening rank was 9322 and closing rank was 11159. Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In all India category, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 16422 and 16897. Admission to BTech in Mechanical Engineering + M.Tech in Mechanical System Design at IIT Bhubaneswar is based on the scores obtained in the JEE entrance exam. Hello Vishesh, At least, presently, in India, the job opportunities for experts in aerospace engineering are rather limited. Many students end up in production jobs in companies producing aeronautical grade components or some students use this degree as a graduation and go for MBA or civil services examination. But then there is always room at the top. If you are thinking of doing this course in Indian institute of space technology, which is sponsored by ISRO, perhaps you have a good chance of getting absorbed in that great Indian organisation. Yes, sure you are allowed. You need to appear in the GATE exam in 2020 under the mechanical engineering branch and then do good there to get a call from IITs.
