IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology follows a reservation policy while allotting seats to its students. For the PG course,  reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD is applicable as per Government of India Orders. It is important for a candidate to qualify for the Andhra Pradesh PGECET and test papers relevant to the course to which they want admission. It is necessary to satisfy the eligibility requirements and other relevant criteria. Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates, and the remaining 15% of the seats will be unreserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974.
